Wii Fit.. will it really work? Posted by Carinka

So I hear Nintendo is coming out with a new game for the Wii called Wii Fit. Since I am a owner of the Nintendo Wii, I wonder….is this going to work? Will people actually be able to go down in waist size due to this new game?

Suppossidly, the Wii Fit package comes with a Wii balance board, in which you stand on the board and it measures the person’s center of gravity, weight and body mass index (now if a regular scale can’t do this, how can Nintendo make this happen?). Anywho, the board acts as a control for about 40 different types of training activites and these trainings fall into four fitness categories: Aerobic Exercise: 10-minute exercises that are designed to get the heart pumping, Muscle Conditioning: Controlled motions using arms, legs and other body parts, Yoga Poses: Classic poses that focus on balance and stretching, and Balance Games: Fun activities, such as ski jumping and heading soccer balls, that challenge the player’s overall body balance.

Sounds like a workout!

This would be awesome if it in fact did work and would save many people to the gym. Highly unlikely though :(

No official release date has been set.

Wow can’t believe I never heard about this. I really have been out of touch with the world the past week lol

Now let’s hope this works, then maybe you’d finally let me get my own Wii =P
